Another generational quilt for Janina Laier
Janina Laier (from Eustis Nebraska) stopped by our shop again yesterday to show off another historical treasure. This parasol lady applique quilt top was put together by Janina's great grandmother over a half-century ago. Janina discovered it and wants to finish it. Grandma either ran out of time, ran out of fabric, or ran out of patience :-), because the final borders are not on the quilt. Janina picked out a 30's reproduction for a first border that will tie in the blue sashing strips, then chose one of the new Charlevoix cherry fabrics for the outside border. She promises to bring the finished quilt back for us to see.
