Git-R-Done Day 3/17/11

We had lot's of fun on Git-R-Done day...  St. Patty's Day treats, and a special visit from a leprechaun!

Donna Escher (Harlan) finished up her candy corn table toppers.

Patty Stephens (Macedonia) was the big finisher of the day.  She worked from morning until night.  First, she finished this baby quilt, made from a kit she purchased at Kanesville Quiltig in Council Bluffs.  After she finished the quilt, Nancy pieced the Barns & Terraces quilt kit from our shop.  Wow, that's a lot of work for one day!

I worked on the store sample for an upcoming workshop using the Lazy Angle.  Bloom, the finished topper, measures 36" square.  It features two blocks using the Lazy Angle.  Workshop participants use their own fabric.  The store sample features fabric from the Charlevoix line.

Nancy Cook got-r-done outside!  When customer, Sandi Sharp (Denison), had trouble getting her car started, Nancy sought help from our neighbors at NAPA auto parts.  I guess this makes us a full-service quilt shop!  Need your oil checked?  Let Nancy help...

And no St. Patty's Day celebration would be complete without a visit from a leprachaun! Local character, Billy, likes to stop by the shop often to see and admire the quilts on display.

Our next Git-R-Done day is scheduled for April 21.  There's no charge to attend & you can work on any project you choose.  Git-R-Done runs from 9am-9pm.  You don't have to call to reserve a spot, but if we know we are going to have participants, I make special treats...
