Look What's Quilting - 2/27/12

Cindy Hansen brought in this small quilt top.  The blocks were made by her mother's Sunday School class in Jacksonville.  The diamond blocks were cut and glued by students who signed their names to the block.  Cindy chose to quilt it with YLI monofilament thread in Vickie's Meander pattern.

Eloise Haight, Minden, pieced this triple Irish chain.  She chose to quilt it with Vickie's Meander pattern in Cobalt Blue thread by Signature.

Eloise Haight, Minden, pieced this scrappy log cabin.  The layout of the blocks allowed for a distinct design.  Eloise chose to quilt it with Along the Way pattern (which really showed well in the white space) in Ivory thread by Signature.

Jean Whitfield, Harlan, pieced this striking quilt.  She chose to quilt it with Loops & Swirls pattern in Black thread by Signature.

This quilt was constructed by Karen Wingert's sister.  It's a biggie - 105x105.  Karen chose to quilt it with Noodle Soup pattern in white thread by Signature.

Karen Wingert pieced this scrappy king-sized quilt.  She chose to quilt it with Hearts & Loops pattern in YLI monofilament thread.

Marilyn Anderson, Jacksonville, pieced this Log Cabin Star quilt using a Kansas Troubles jelly roll.  She chose to quilt it with Star Layered pattern in Latte thread by Signature.

Something's fishy with Mary Jo Bonsall's stack-n-whack.  If it weren't for the borders, you would never know that the focus fabric features great big FISH.  Mary Jo chose to quilt it with  Fidget pattern in Latte thread by Signature.

Mary Neppl, Denison, brings us the funnest (I know it's not a word, but they really are FUN) quilts.  She loves penguins, so she plans to keep this quilt for herself. Mary will add the eyes and other embellishments when she gets it home.  She chose to quilt it with Loops & Swirls pattern in YLI monofilament thread.

Looking for a quick scrappy quilt design?  Try alternating a nine-patch block with a large half-square, like this quilt by Pat Rock.  The quilt is a gift for her grandson.  Pat chose to quilt it with Leafy Meander pattern in Rust thread by Signature.
Sheryl Thomas, Kirkman, may be the Queen of Panel Quilts.  She found this panel on her travels and made 2 quilts -- one for her and one for her mother.  Sheryl chose to quilt both with Loops and Swirls pattern in Dark Olive thread by Signature.

Tiarra Osentovsky, Lincoln, pieced this strippy dinosaur quilt for her son.  She chose to quilt it with Dino pattern in Black thread by Signature.

Macia Hansen constgructed this Big Easy quilt from fabrics from It's a Hoot line by Moda.  She chose to quilt it with Owls pattern in YLI monofilament thread.
